What is Night to Shine? Night to Shine is a prom night party, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Churches from around the world will host Night to Shine on the same night honoring special guests. This year's event will take place on Friday evening, February 13th, 2026. There will be music, dancing, dinner, a crowning ceremony where every special guest will be crowned King or Queen of the prom ... and so much more! What is the cost? Night to Shine is free for guests and their parents/caregiver to attend. How Old Do You Need to Be to Attend As a Guest? Anyone 14 years & older is welcome, there is no age limit! What Should I Wear? Most of our guests choose to wear semi-formal or formal attire, although party dresses for the ladies and suits/blazers for the gentlemen are most common. Come however you are most comfortable - we can't wait to see you! Do I Need a Date? No, we encourage each guest to participate and enjoy the fun with lots of friends! We will pair each guest with a peer buddy, so you'll have a great time.
Who can volunteer? Anyone 15 & older can be a volunteer. (Volunteers 14 & under are required to have a parent at the event to volunteer with them for the entire evening. Buddies must be 15 & older (preferably high school and older.)
